Houses of STEAM is a program for Compton youth, k-6th, and their families to learn STEAM education through hands-on training, building projects, attending field trips and speaking with BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) professionals in the STEAM career fields. There will be 2 learning experiences each month for families to attend in person. Parent participation is mandatory. All project supplies, food and transportation costs for events will be free, unless otherwise stated. It's going to be a life changing experience for your little ones. Houses of STEAM is a program of Unearth and Empower Communities, an independent non profit organization founded in 2013. Our mission is to create pathways to college, employment, and entrepreneurship for Compton youth through engagement with education & the arts.
Once a child joins one of our programs, we journey with them until they become adults.
